Horses used in Equine Assisted Learning (EAL)
Horses are social animals that have complex relationships with their herds. They possess attributes such as patience, co-operation, receptiveness, willingness and a natural orientation towards people.
The power and size of the horse can sometimes be intimidating to some, but we have carefully chosen our horses best suited to Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) for such individuals and our expert trainer Martina Doran will always be present during Learning sessions. Horses can read a person, they can be sensitive to a person’s fears and feelings and are responsive to the persons attitude and direction.
The horse is known to be caring and observant of humans and when humans learn to be caring and observant of the horse, magic happens. This makes horses an ideal conduit to introduce individuals in need of assistance and rehabilitation to the practice of Equine Assisted Learning.
